Quality control runs from incoming material to the final test report. Each stage has a recorded inspection point, and nothing is released to packing until the routine test sheet is signed.
Incoming Inspection
Core steel, winding conductor, insulating materials, epoxy systems and bought in components are checked against material certificates and dimensional requirements before they reach the shop floor. Supplier documentation is retained against the works order.
In-Process Checks
Winding dimensions, turn counts and insulation build are verified before assembly. For cast resin units the casting cycle — mixing, vacuum, temperature and cure time — is logged. For oil immersed units the drying and filling cycle is logged, and our patented secondary pneumatic leak testing method is used to verify tank and sealing integrity before oil filling is accepted.
Final Routine Testing
Every unit is routine tested: winding resistance, ratio and vector group, impedance voltage and load loss, no load loss and current, applied and induced voltage withstand, and insulation resistance. Measured values are recorded on the test sheet that ships with the unit.
Traceability and Records
Each transformer is built against a works order that carries its material batch references, process logs, inspection records and test results. If a question comes back from site months later, we can pull the file for that serial number.
Third Party and Witness Testing
Where a project specification requires it, we support inspection by the customer or a nominated third party, including witness testing of the routine tests and type test arrangements at the specified laboratory. This applies equally to OEM and ODM orders.
Feedback From Site
Because we also install, repair and test power facilities, our own teams see our equipment in service. Fault data and load observations from site are fed back into design review, which is where most specification improvements actually come from.
