OEM and ODM Capability
We run both models. OEM means built to print: your drawings, your tolerances, your brand, your documentation pack. ODM means we take the performance requirement and do the engineering — electromagnetic design, thermal calculation, insulation system selection, outline drawing and test schedule — for your approval. Typical ODM triggers are a non standard voltage or frequency, an impedance outside the usual range, a restricted envelope, an unusual ambient or altitude, or a duty cycle the catalogue units were never intended for.
With approximately 300 transformers a year across our ranges and around 200 people on site, custom work is a regular part of the schedule rather than an exception.

When does a custom transformer make sense over a standard one?
When the voltage or frequency is non standard, the impedance falls outside the usual range, the envelope is restricted, ambient or altitude is unusual, or the duty cycle is something catalogue units were never designed for.
What is the minimum information to start a design?
Rated power, primary and secondary voltage, frequency, phase, vector group, impedance, cooling, duty cycle, ambient conditions and the standards to be met. Drawings are welcome but not required.
Can you build to our drawings?
Yes. OEM orders are built strictly to the drawings and process instructions you supply, including your brand, nameplate layout, documentation format and packing specification.
